Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

In the role of Mechanical Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for: •Supporting equipment through a programme of planned and reactive maintenance •Installation & maintenance of the Company’s equipment •Planning and implementing preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with the PM management system •Sourcing and evaluating parts in order to upgrade plant and improve uptime •Prioritising reactive maintenance according to H&S considerations and production requirements •Creating historical records for plant by compilation of breakdown reports held on TIMS system •Checking mechanical functional operation of machinery, particular attention to guards, pressure lines and vessels To be considered for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Job you must have: •Time served or Mechanical Apprenticeship essential, preferably educated to HNC level with experience of installation works •Experience of all aspects of Mechanical maintenance work within an industrial/commercial environment •Excellent interpersonal skills and a reasonable level of computer literacy •A willingness and flexibility, often at short notice, to undertake an extensive range of tasks •Been trained in manual handling and safe lifting operations •An understanding of implementing safe working systems from risk assessments and follow isolation protocols to ensure that work is carried out safely •Experience on vacuum coating plants, hydraulics & pneumatics would be desirable This is a permanent full time position working 36 hours per week Monday to Friday and is based in St Asaph on a salary of £28,528 to £32,488 depending on skills, qualifications and experience.
