Job Title: Social Support Assistant Location: Worthing Hourly rate: £9 per hour Reference: DP758 Hours/shifts: Term time: every Sat or Sun 9am-7pm=10hrs. negotiable 40 hours a month School holidays: 7am-10am Monday-Friday 10 hours per week. Occasional evening hours available Every other Saturday or Sunday 9-7. Immediate start preferred. Summary Are you fit, enthusiastic have a good sense of humour then this may be the position for you? Family Support workers required to provide day to day care for two young adults. Both the boys enjoy football, cinema, bowling, swimming. Please note that you will be working alongside a young team of PAs to look after both young adults together. Also there may be some lone working on a one to one basis with one of the young men. I am a mother of 2 young men, one of them has a level of deafness but understands speech and lip reads. He has a lively personality and loves stories. My other son speaks verbally and can use up to 3 word sentences. He is a mischievous character and will keep you on your toes. Both are wheelchair dependent lifting and handling involved in the position. Both boys will need a lot of assistance including during mealtimes assistants with eating.
