2nd Line Support
One of my best clients is looking for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their team in Whythenshawe on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities of the 2nd Line Support Engineer: •Provide 2nd line technical support within the IT Service Desk •Working closely with both 1st and 3rd line to ensure the issue is resolved or assigned to the correct level •Supporting Windows servers both physical and virtual •Undertaking small- to medium-sized IT projects •Log all calls on the call logging system. •Day to day management of the backup system. •Working on own initiative to diagnose and resolving technical issues •Understanding of Networking and TCP/IP Protocols; •Understanding of Microsoft based desktop operating system - Windows 10 •Proven experience using and troubleshooting Office 2016 within a network environment (permissions, calendar sharing, delegation) •Experience of administering Office365 including, SharePoint Online (permissions, workflows, migration) Key Skills Required of the 2nd Line Support Engineer: •Windows Server 2012 Administration (experience highly desirable) •O365 Administration (experience highly desirable) •Exchange Server 2016 Administration (experience highly desirable) •Working with SANs (experience highly desirable primarily) •Networking and Firewalls (experience highly desirable) •Active Directory Administration including building Group Policies (Windows Server 2008/2012 - experience highly desirable) •Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager 2012 (experience highly desirable) •Cisco telephony administration and support (experience highly desirable) •Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager 2012 (desirable) •Email Filtering & Antivirus (desirable) •Zeacom Call Centre (desirable) •Documentation (desirable) The successful 2nd Line Support Engineer will be paid up to £25,000.
