2nd Line Support Engineer - Manchester - £28K Our rapidly expanding Manchester based client is presently seeking to recruit a talented Support Engineer to join their team. This is an opportunity for an IT Engineer/Analyst to advance their career to the next level by joining a company working with all the latest technologies. Your day to day responsibilities will include: *Provide 2nd line technical support within the IT Service Desk *Working closely with both 1st and 3rd line to ensure the issue is resolved or assigned to the correct level *Supporting Windows servers both physical and virtual *Undertaking small- to medium-sized IT projects *Log all calls on the call logging system. *Day to day management of the backup system. *Working on own initiative to diagnose and resolving technical issues *Understanding of Networking and TCP/IP Protocols; *Understanding of Microsoft based desktop operating system - Windows 10 *Proven experience using and troubleshooting Office 2016 within a network environment (permissions, calendar sharing, delegation) *Experience of administering Office365 including, SharePoint Online (permissions, workflows, migration) Essential Skills *Windows Server 2012 Administration (experience highly desirable) *O365 Administration (experience highly desirable) *Exchange Server 2016 Administration (experience highly desirable) *Working with SANs (experience highly desirable primarily) *Networking and Firewalls (experience highly desirable) *Active Directory Administration including building Group Policies (Windows Server 2008/2012 - experience highly desirable) *Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager 2012 (experience highly desirable) The successful candidate will have: *Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal *Good time management and priority handling *Highly diligent with exceptional attention to detail *Able to risk assess before executing change *Strong written ability (to include technical writing) *Able to conduct research into areas as required *Able to logically understand, diagnose and resolve problems * 2nd Line Support Engineer - Manchester - £28K If you would like the opportunity to be considered for this role, please send your CV to nick.derham@AdriaSolutions.co.uk or give us a call on 01625 874399. 2nd Line Support Engineer - Manchester - £28K
