Marketing & PR Assistant Location: London, SE27 Hours: Full Time Salary: From £22,000, dependant on experience Our client is a Fine Art Auctioneers based in South London, hosting a calendar of 26 specialist auctions a year covering all areas of Asian Arts, Islamic & Indian Art, Jewellery & Watches, Paintings from 1500-1900, Modern & Contemporary British Art, Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples, 20th Century Art & Design and Decorative Arts, Fine & Decorative sales including Silver, Ceramics Works of Art and Furniture. Due to continued success, our client is currently looking for a Marketing & PR Assistant to assist in developing and executing marketing and advertising campaigns across a variety of platforms to promote the business and services. This is an exciting, hands-on role which encourages meaningful contribution towards the shape of the marketing initiatives of the business and with scope for growth and career development. Duties of the Marketing & PR Assistant Include: •Overseeing day to day marketing activities •Planning, developing and implementing effective marketing communication campaigns across a range of disciplines including print, digital and social paths. •Writing copy for all marketing collateral, including press releases, brochures,catalogues, website,templates for letters and emails and websites. •Proofing all marketing material. •Understanding projects and campaigns and writing thorough specs for each. •Taking a daily interest in objects and collections coming in for auction and provide reactionary marketing •Creating and managing interest lists •Creating an annual marketing schedule with the assistance of the Director Financial projections for departmental and company annual spending •Monitoring ongoing campaign spend against the budget, keeping accurate records and highlighting where variances occur. •Producing an accurate summary of total spend at the end of a marketing campaign. •Undertaking detailed ongoing analysis of marketing campaigns to ensure targets are met. •Assisting in the production of ongoing competitor analysis and reporting, with particular reference to pricing, presentation and promotion. •Point of contact for marketing, advertising and third party agencies •Working with designers to create campaign material •In house design work •Catalogue uploads to various platforms •Managing the website: Banner ads, refreshing and keeping up to date, press releases and news stories •Organising events The Ideal Candidate: This role would suit someone with one to two years’ experience and does not have to come from an auction background. We are particularly interest in candidates with a background in digital and social media marketing. •Degree in Marketing would be an advantage as would CIM qualification. •Experience with photoshop and other editing software. •Previous experience in a similar role desirable. •Proven track record with social media. •Ability to adhere to deadlines and manage complex workload and schedule. •Ability to use spreadsheets to analyse data and spot trends. •Excellent proof reading skills. •High level of attention to detail. •Strong project management and organisation skills. •Be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, so to communicate with employees, members of the management team, and in group presentations and meetings. •A positive outlook and can-do attitude. •Interest in the Arts.
