We have an opportunity for a Business Systems & Data Analyst to join our team in London. You will join on a full time, basis as part of a 1 year contract with possibility of extension. In return you will receive a competitive salary of £35,000 + per annum + excellent benefits: travel allowance, bonus scheme, pension, health insurance, and more. In the UK our Docklands data centre campus facilitates the majority of the London Internet Exchange’s (LINX) capacity, meaning that we support a huge proportion of all UK internet traffic, making our Docklands campus a globally important internet hub. Job Overview As our Business Systems & Data Analyst you will identify business needs and how the business systems can be implemented/operated/enhanced in the most effective and efficient way to support business operations. Responsibilities will include business needs & data analysis, working closely with project managers and IT department, troubleshooting functional issues for business system users, liaising with 1st line support roles where relevant and contribute to establishing optimal ways for planning and supporting implementation/operations of business applications. Key tasks as a Business Systems & Data Analyst: - Responsible for assessment of business application interface requirements, appropriate proposal creation for process and functionality changes, planning and change implementation, post implementation assessment - Liaising with system users to proactively capture, log and resolve any issues - Assessing business and user requirements and translating them into adequate functionality, business rules & processes; acceptance and script testing, system implementation quality assessment and on-going improvement of business processes based on user feedback - Maintaining configuration documents and harmonised design - Carrying out data analysis, running data quality reports to identify sources of data pollution - blank fields, incorrect data records, updates (eg expected close date)). - Issue Change Management- Advise and inform management, departments and colleagues on technical issues as part of the decision making process for technical direction and guidance on optimisation of processes. - Promote better data quality, standardisation of reporting, driving best approach for analysing business status and issues. Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers. - Responsible for managing user profiles, ensuring log-in details and user profiles are up to date and fit for purpose based on the company’s IT security policy - Develop, maintain and perform processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity in platform applications. - Develop effective relationships with key technical contacts within the customers’, suppliers’ and partners’ organisations in order to deliver technical solutions and ‘solution packages’ - Interface with other departments, stakeholders, attend BUs and user group meetings Essential requirements of our Business Systems & Data Analyst: - Bachelor’s degree (2.1 or 1st) in technical, scientific studies or business administration or equivalent - Proven experience in analysing functional data and operational issues, building business cases and performing complex data analysis especially in the area of Lead to cash handling customer, contractual and product data - Substantial experience as system administrator with proved value added to business - 5 years’ proven experience in exercising required skills in the telecom, technology or manufacturing industries - Ability to communicate complex technical/functional topics with users at all levels of technical expertise - Knowledge of cloud based business applications in the area of Lead to Contract, Contract Management, Order to Cash processes - Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environment and user requirements - Understanding of security aspects of IT enabled business process management - Knowledge and experience of business system configuration If you feel you have the experience to become our Business Systems & Data Analyst then click ‘Apply’!
