Superb opportunity for a Quality Manager to join a market leading organisation providing control systems to the waste industry. This client has a very strong name in this sector with excellent brand recognition among installers, specifiers and merchants

Responsibilities of the Quality Manager:
Coordinate and lead activities to maintain our ISO 9001:2008 Certification, including internal and supplier audits.
Identify and resolve product issues that may include performance robustness, supplier quality, manufacturing efficiency, ease of use and installation.
options; explore new partners or technology aiming to improve quality, reduce costs, and increase production efficiency.
Support New Product Development
Manage new and existing product approvals
Support all departments to document and maintain departmental processes and KPIs.
Lead the identification and adoption of new processes and business systems.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant standards and legislations such as: WRAS, CE, REACH, WEEE, ISO9001, ISO14001, and relevant industry specific approvals such as: LPC, ECA-WTL, BMA WEPLS.
Monitor and develop all Quality and Departmental documentation and processes
Manage the audit of production quality by maintaining test and inspection procedures and ensuring compliance.
Ensure all drawings and issue numbers are up to date
Support R&D to verify product designs through robust testing and field trials, both new product development and changes to existing products.
Ensure that all functions and department implement and follow their own processes and procedures both within their departments and externally.
Qualifications/Experience of the Quality Manager:
Qualification in Quality Management or solid experience in a dedicated Quality role and full understanding of the principles of a Quality Management System & ISO 9001
Trained lead Auditor for ISO 9001
Manufacturing experience should ideally include plastic injection moulding, electromechanical assemblies, PCBs and brass castings and associated finishing.
Experienced in gaining and maintaining approvals such as WRAS and CE and can demonstrate examples of this experience.
Should have a manufacturing background, and be competent in Root Cause Analysis, ideally with training and/or experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and methodology.
Basic understanding of electronics concepts.
Must have strong IT skills
