Recruiting for a dynamic Room Leader / Senior Child Carer.

Our client is an elite well-established private owned Nursery with 2 branches and growing. We are looking to recruit an experienced Room Leader who really wants to influence the vision and direction of the nursery. We need bags of enthusiasm and a can-do attitude for this exciting opportunity.

The ideal candidate should have minimum 1 year experience and level 3 qualification in Childcare with a proven record of working within a childcare environment. Should have a strong understanding of EYFS and will be looking for a full time position of 40 hours per week.

Location: SW20 Raynes Park (West Wimbledon)

Salary : Upto £24k

Responsible To: Nursery Leadership Team – Deputy / Nursery Manager

Main Duties & Role:

* To support the management team with the promotion and delivery of a high quality, accessible early years’ service for children age 0 to 5 years in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.

* To manage a staff team, ensuring the implementation and promotion of a high quality early years provision at all times, which is evidenced through the Ofsted Inspection Framework.

* To work in partnership with parents/carers and other professionals to ensure all children reach their full potential in line with the Every Child Matters outcomes.

* To assist the leadership team in the management of the nursery and in all aspects of the nursery’s use of resources and development.

* To take overall responsibility and lead other staff in the planning and preparation of the play rooms and the outside areas, using observation of children and evaluation of the provision to ensure all play areas fully enhance children’s learning and interests and are effectively risk assessed

* To have key worker responsibility for a group of children, and ensure that other staff fully implement their key worker role, ensuring that each child has access to a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum

* To use all resources wisely, making recommendations for doing things differently and always ensuring that the processes and systems that underpin your work are cost effective, efficient and meet customers needs.

* To ensure complaints are escalated to line management and that they are responded to in accordance with the Complaints Procedure.

* To use computers, specified databases, and other ICT in the normal performance of the duties of the post.

* To brief line manager on all matters which are likely to be subject to publicity whether positive or negative.

* To keep up to date with new developments in appropriate fields, attend training and supervision sessions and contribute to workshops, seminars and conferences.
