My fantastic client – one of the largest advertising networks in the world – have just released a new Marketing Communication Manager freelance position for a 6 month contract in London.

This Marketing Communications Manager contract is likely to extend further, or there is the potential of a permanent opportunity at the end depending how things go with the initial contract.

They have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing and Communications Manager to become a pivotal member of their team. Working across a number of their UK agencies, you will be responsible for driving each agency’s communications activities.

The Marketing Communications Manager role will involve working closely with the leadership team to understand each agencies personality, vision and current and upcoming priorities. You will then be required to develop and implement a communications plans aligned to the strategy and needs of each agency.

The role is further elaborated on below:

Drive our marketing strategy

Lead the marketing strategy and put together a measurable monthly plan for 2018/2019 working with SLT to achieve business objectives.
Create marketing campaigns to maximise their use, including using paid channels to promote the individual agencies
Liaise with Global Head of Communications and Marketing to drive our agenda and be central to Global comms initiatives
Work across the business to find ways of maximising marketing efforts / budgets as a Marketing Communications Manager

Showcase our work

Work with SLT to put together a comprehensive list of the awards we will enter – and then manage the process end to end

Develop our online presence

Work with our Head of Social Media to ensure that all three agencies have a clear digital strategy and implementation plan.
Create/repackage content that can be used across digital and social media channels
Work with the social teams to make sure they know where, when and what they are posting and ensure this happens
Maintain and manage website content on a weekly basis with fresh relevant content

Show us results

Report on a quarterly basis to the SLT with activity and achievements. Show tangible added value and demonstrate return on investment.
Manage competitor audit project in 2018 and report back to SLT with key findings, insights and recommendations for 2019
Work with senior team and finance to ensure the marketing budget is managed and maximised
Outline how budget should be spent annually and report quarterly / monthly to MD

Key skills:

Top notch verbal and written communication skills and be seen as a credible ‘voice’ to both external and internal stakeholders alike.
Media relations expertise (existing relationships with key healthcare communications trade media is desirable)
Tenacity and the ability to manage relationships with all different levels of people
Exceptional organizational and project management
3 years + previous agency experience and a strong grasp of the healthcare industry.
A University degree
