1st IT Support Engineer

This is a good opportunity for a Leeds based, experienced 1st Line Support Engineer to work with some interesting clients while expanding their skill set. The client work in the automotive industry, so you will have an opportunity to deal first hand with some complex clients on that require hands on attention.

The role will be product based, ensuring that you become an expert with the product they are selling. You will be dealing with internal systems face to face but more extensively with client managing queries on time and in a professional manner. You will become an integral part of a growing team, learning from some experienced support managers who deal with clients directly. You will be supported to develop your career in ways that you would like. They understand that 1st Line Support won’t be the end destination of your career but a means to get to where you want to go.

The key characteristic to be successful with this role is communication. You're probably thinking that all roles in this area will require this but this one is even more so. You will be answering queries and solving problems with some tough customers, so being able to communicate effectively and efficiently over email and on the phone is essential.

By experience, I don’t mean you will be an expert in the field with multiple years’ experience as a 1st Line Support Engineer under your belt. I mean you will have had working experience within an office environment, you will be used to the commute into Leeds and you will understand what it takes to be on time every day.
