Stream are recruiting for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join a leading engineering company based in South London. The company are offering not only a competitive salary and package, but the chance to work in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

The role of the Health Safety & Environmental Manager is ultimately to take responsibility for health, safety and environmental aspects at the manufacturing site based in Greenwich.
Including, but not limited to:

Liaising with external auditors and authorities such as the HSE and Environment Agency
Reviewing existing policies, procedures and risk assessments to ensure they are suitable and sufficient
Managing the communication of policies, procedures and risk assessments
Investigating accident/incidents and identifying root causes and improvements
Leading internal audits and managing the overall auditing process in line with
ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Understanding health safety and environmental regulations and utilising professional networks in order to maintain exceptional standards and share best practise
Delivering HSE inductions, training and coaching to managers and employees
Deliver concise monthly reports to Corporate QEHS and Site Management team.

To be considered, candidates must possess some or all of the following skills/experience:

Hold a relevant health and safety qualification including NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
Experience and a good understanding of implementing management systems (ISO14001 and ISO045001)
Have a proven ability to implement, maintain, promote & enforce a positive safety culture in a manufacturing environment
Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
Meticulous with record keeping and the maintenance of documentation
Previous experience with the management of CoSHH, Radiation Regulations, high voltage safety and laser safety best practises
Proven experience in conducting both internal audits and managing the external auditing process
Some experience in environmental carbon reporting, Clean Development Mechanism or Carbon Disclosure Project, would also be advantageous

This role may include occasion international travel in order to share best practice with other company sites.
