SoCode have partnered with a growing start up big data company focussed on complex transit modelling software. They’re currently looking for a Senior C++ Software Engineer with an ambition to work in a technically challenging environment, be part of a close nit friendly team and can embrace the start-up mentality.

Your new role will be creating highly challenging algorithmic programs which will be delivering highly analysed quality assured real time data to nations or cities across the world. You will be offered the chance to work with blue-chip clients and contribute to a highly-skilled development team. You will also have great attention to detail and will be passionate about delivering high-quality code that has been well tested and documented.

Your day to to day responsibilities will be to continually develop the technology underpinning their Data Management and Real-Time Platforms. You will also be building online services for the management of complex datasets and ensuring the platform of well-documented, with changes communicated to the team.

You will ideally have 3 or more years experiencing developing in C++ and have an innovative creative approach to software development. You will also be a great communicator who is happy to discuss ideas and work with other programmers, testers and data analysts. Ideally you will be able to deliver high-quality code that has been well-tested and documented, as well as experience developing web applications, APIs and services.

They use a range of technologies, but it would be beneficial to have experience within the following:

Experience of Jira or another sprint management system
Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
Knowledge of Django and other Python based web frameworks
Development in a Linux environment
