The rates on offer will be £25.12 p/h Ltd/Umbrella OR £19.61 PAYE.

This role requires you to undertake a BPSS + Disclosure Scotland check.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will hold the overall responsibility to deliver a group of ‘low complexity’ IT projects to both internal and external customers involving: managing customer expectations and experiences, internal and external suppliers, project schedule within MSP, and reporting activities within a PPM toolset.

You be expected to manage around 10-15 projects concurrently holding personal attributes such as enthusiasm to drive the pace and perseverance to motivate others in the high-performing and collaborative team. Although the projects will be of a low level complexity they will be diverse in range covering a number of hosting, networking, collaboration and security technology.


• Leads and manages the delivery of small -medium complexity projects or work package within a larger project.
• Typically manages a single supplier
• Identifies and manages project level risks, issues, opportunities
• Prepares and manages realistic project plans. Track project changes
• Manage RAID Logs
• Project reporting as required by the project assurance framework, PPM, customers and stakeholders
• Monitor costs and resources against agreed budgets, take appropriate action for any overspends
• Identify and record lessons learned.
• Ensure Business benefits are tracked and delivered.

Skills and Attributes

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills - able to competently and confidently manage stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to work within a team
• Confidence to challenge the status quo through bold behaviours
• Competent user of Microsoft suit of products
• Can demonstrate experience of collaboration and cross functional working
• Experience of working on enterprise-wide projects and successfully managing suppliers as part of the project delivery team
• Proficient understanding of project lifecycle management
• Experience of working within an environment with mature and established governance practices and processes
• Proven experience of successfully delivering business outcomes as part of project delivery


• Educated to degree level preferably in related discipline
• Familiarity with computer-based Project Management tools including MS Projects MSOffice etc.
• Some formal Project Management training, preferably PRINCE2 and/or PMDY
