IT Support Engineer
Up to £22,000 p/a + company benefits

Due to business growth, my client based in Newport, are looking for an IT Support Engineer to offer desk side and administrative support for the IT infrastructure; network and desktop environments including printing and telephony for all staff.

As an IT Support Engineer, you will support and administer our client’s systems and services through the provision of technical advice and guidance, maintenance and problem solving to the agreed Service Levels.

As an IT Support Engineer, your main responsibilities are as follows:
• Providing 1st and 2nd line support to all staff in all aspects of IT software & hardware, including workstations, telephones, printers, scanners, copiers
• Assisting in the roll-out of new hardware and software
• Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
• Assisting IT Manager with ongoing projects
• Maintain and develop the core PC build

The ideal IT Support Engineer will possess some, if not all, of the following attributes:
• Windows XP - 10 knowledge
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Works well under pressure and to deadlines
• Flexible to change
• Active Directory
• Exchange
• Windows Server 2012 experience
• Microsoft Office 365
