I am currently working with a Pupil Referral Unit on the London/Essex borders that are looking for an LSA to join them on a long term contract. The PRU is for Secondary age children and is for students that have been excluded from Mainstream School. This position is an immediate start on a long term basis

The majority of the children have behaviour issues (EBD, SEBD and SEMH) and can be violent so excellent behaviour management skills are required. It would be preferable that you have Team Teach or Mapa Training to be considered for this position however this is not compulsory.

To be considered for this position:

SEN Teaching Assistants must have experience working with challenging behaviour
SEN Teaching Assistants must have a valid DBS (on the update service)
It is preferable that SEN Teaching Assistants have MAPA or Team-Teach training
SEN Teaching Assistants must be able to work on a long term basis
