We are seeking an application support analyst ideally with a strong background in SQL, SQL Server, Datawarehousing, SSIS and SSRS. The role will be working in a growing team managing a range of incidents from P1 through to P5 and consists of prioritising and progressing resolution of faults or queries for a range of back office / clearing applications.

The ideal candidate will be work to service a range of internal and external clients, suggesting methods to build and implement measurable improvements to the services, undertaking day to day work with incidents performing some QA mainly on the database side using SQL, Datawarehousing, SSIS and SSRS.

The mainstay of the work will be troubleshooting issues relating to the network, database, infrastructure or applications. Contributing to serious incident, change and problem management. Strong skills in SQL, SSIS, SSRS and ideally Datawarehousing are highly desirable.

Strong RCA and problem solving is a must as is the ability to automate tasks and prevent recurrence. The role will be covering a minor shift pattern form 7 - 7 (earlies or lates) and an on call rota is also in place.

Skills required;

- Strong technical skills in SQL.
- Good working knowledge of SSRS and SSIS.
- Experienced in data warehousing.
- Strong knowledge (3 – 5 years) of back office processes and clearing.
- Good analytical and diagnostic skills.
- Used to working on Windows and Red Hat Linux.
- Support of applications using .NET 2.0, 3.0, ASP and Windows services.


- UNIX secure shell scripting, PERL and Python.
- ITIL Foundation Certification v3.
