Test Technician (Electronics)
Full time permanent - shifts

Would you like a chance to work in a state-of-the-art electronics environment on both civil and military platforms? We currently have a vacancy for a Test Technician (Electronics) at our site in Rochester.
As a Test Technician (Electronics), you will be part of an integrated manufacturing team, testing product to set target times within the project schedule. There may be some migration of this skill into other Technician disciplines such as inspection, fitting and/or wiring.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting products and exposure to dealing with complex electronic interfaces. We have the widest product portfolio of products.

Your main responsibilities as a Test Technician (Electronics) will involve:
Carrying out testing and fault-finding on a variety of new and mature analogue and digital electronics products such as Pilot Displays, Flight Controls and Flight Computers
Fault-finding to component level using appropriate circuit diagrams and test equipment when a failure is identified
Recognising target and turnaround times and maintaining compliance to each
Maintaining good standards of housekeeping

Your skills and qualifications:
· Electronics HNC/HND or equivalent qualification / experience
· The ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams
· Testing and fault-finding experience
· IT Literate

Shift patterns:
Day shift hours will be 6:45 to 15:00 Monday to Thursday and 7:00 to 13:00hrs on Friday. But we have flexi time so you can get in as late as 08:30 (Monday to Friday) you just need to work a minimum of 6hrs a day and have a total of 37hrs by the end of the week, an average of 7.75hr Monday to Friday and then 6 on Friday.

Twilight (25% shift premium available):

The times will be 2pm to midnight on Monday and Tuesday and 2pm to 11.30pm on Wednesday and Thursday. These times include unpaid lunch and add up to 37 hours per week.

Nights (33% shift premium available):

Monday and Thursday 8.30pm to 9.30pm start, finish 6am- 7am - Tuesday and Wednesday 8pm to 9pm start, finish at 6am -7am. Total 37hrs over 4 nights.

What we're looking for in you:
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as being very thorough and detailed. You will be hard working with a can do attitude and have the ability to work tight time scales You will be conversant in workshop practices, quality standards, disciplines and work collaboratively with others, building positive relationships and working responsibly but not independently.
