If you answered yes to the above, then this Primary SEN Teacher is the position for you!

Our client School located in Walthamstow, London are seeking SEN Teachers to work with a child in KS1 who has Autism. This will be a full time role working 1:1 with the child. You will receive full training and support from the staff. This is a school with plenty of outdoors surroundings which play a big part in the student’s learning and academic interests. All of their staff works hard to develop an atmosphere of trust, happiness and achievement here at the school, to ensure that every child feels cared for and supported on their educational journey.

SENCO Main Duties/Responsibilities:

1. To keep a profile of children with special educational needs

2. To observe and support children as appropriate on the special educational needs profile

3. To arrange, organise and review support for individual children

4. To keep Key Workers and Learning Support Assistants up to date with SEN

5. Encourage personal development through training

6. To write detailed education reports about individual children for other professionals

7. To support and advise Key Workers and Learning Support Assistants in how to include childrens needs in the setting

8. To meet with parents regularly in order to maintain good relationships and to keep parents informed about their childs development

9. To review statements via annual and interim review meetings.
