Buying Assistant Role Overview
Our client is a retailer with head offices located in Leeds. They currently have an opening for an Assistant Buyer with a background in retail. This busy role requires a confident individual who is passionate about a career in Buying.
The roles entail:
- Supporting the buying team with all the administrative tasks
- Dealing with and managing suppliers
- Dealing with store and support queries
- Ensuring accurate information is available on time
- Maintaining up to date files
- Project management
Buying Assistant Requirements
- 1-2 years of related industry experience, ideally within a Buying or Retail environment
- Passionate about a career in buying
- Strong administrative skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Business related degree/qualification desitrable
- Self motivated and persistent
- Commercially astute with a financial understanding
- Analytical with strong numerical skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills together with a strong customer focused approach
- Excellent planning and project management skills and the ability to react quickly to change
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong PC skills including Excel and PowerPoint
