£70,000 - £85,000

Our client, a web-based software provider in the UK, is currently seeking a Software Architect to join their dynamic team in Kingston Upon Thames on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you would take the responsibility of shaping, creating, developing and evolving the architecture that underpins the organisation’s software products.

You will be an expert developer with an in-depth understanding of Microsoft.NET framework, C# and Microsoft SqlServer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Validating the architecture against the requirements of the software products and the corporate and technical strategies

* Creating models as well as component and interface specification documents for the architecture

* Articulating the architectural vision to guide teams’ understanding and ability to deliver business value

* Preparing documents explaining the architecture to sponsors and stakeholders (both internally and externally)

* Ensuring that software delivery within the organisation adheres to both internal and industry best practice

* Building trusted relationships with stakeholders and developers

* Participating in the accurate estimation, planning and delivery of the architecture and the products built using it

Key Skills and Experiences:

* Extensive developing experience

* Excellent understanding of development methods and modelling techniques

* In depth understanding of: Microsoft.NET framework, C#, Microsoft SqlServer

* Previous experience of applying testing, refactoring and patterns to produce high quality software

* Ability to prototype/experiment/simulate

* Able to make technical leaps – finding novel solutions

* Technical problem-solving skills

* Excellent mentoring skills

* Effective written and communication skills

* Ability to manage own workload and prioritise work

* Ability to successfully manage relations with developers, stakeholders and colleagues
