SEN Learning Support Assistant

This specialist SEMH/ASC/ADHD base in Cambridge is a small unit where they provide group tuition for Key Stage 2 students with specific needs all have barriers to learning and you must have the ability to enable them to reach their full potential and have the ability to manage their behaviour.

The Role – SEN Teaching Assistant

You will be expected to assist in supporting the group or may be required to work on a 1:1 basis.

You will need to be creative and have the ability to tailor the work to each child's unique individual needs.

Evaluating and reporting the students progress to teachers, parents and health care professionals.

Be able to manage challenging behaviour in a positive way

Qualifications & Experience

Good Numeracy and Literacy skills

Previous Social Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) experience is essential

Have good behaviour management strategies

Previous SEN experience within a classroom setting with KS2 children is essential

This role is an ongoing contract with an immediate start.
