The Perinatal Institute is an award-winning organisation that provides clinical software solutions to over 100 hospital Trusts in the UK and maternity units in an increasing number of countries abroad. We require an IT Lead to help us keep up with the rapidly increasing demand for our products.
We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Lead to help grow the Perinatal Institute’s software offering both in the UK and abroad. The ideal candidate will have in depth knowledge in software development, technical systems and Agile methodologies. In addition to managing the IT service the job role will include leadership of agile throughout the organisation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Leadership of the IT team (in collaboration with the Senior Developer) which includes 2 developers, 2 technicians, 2 tester and 1 designer.
* Planning and management of IT systems and software development projects.
* Management of Agile and Waterfall principles within the department and leading agile implementation throughout the organisation.
* Technical support cover when required.
* Management of service providers in line with company policies and budget.
* Assisting Lead developers/technicians in the architecture of systems.
* Assisting in IG and ISO 27001 accreditations.
* Understanding security requirements for healthcare customers.
* Management of service delivery for clients in the UK and abroad.
* Management of IT policies and procedures and their implantation across the organisation.
* Ensuring business needs are met through continuous communication with all departments.
* Research and implementation of new technologies.
Skill & Competencies
* Good communication skills with both IT and non-IT staff.
* Ability to understand the architecture of IT systems.
* Ability to manage, encourage and develop staff.
* Ability to propose and meet realistic deadlines.
* Ability to translate customer needs to IT requirements.
* Deep understanding and ability to implement Agile methodologies across the organisation.
* 8+ years working in IT.
This position offers a salary up to £45,000 depending on experience for this position
