Melbreck Technical are working with a leading manufacturer of industrial solutions based near Swindon.

Due to recent GDPR implementation and growth for the need for additional data security support they are looking to expand their IT operations team and recruit a Data Security Partner (DSP) to join their team ASAP.

In this role you will become part of their network of experts on the Informa­tion Management System. As the DSP you will be the initial point of contact to their managers and associates on ISP matters. You will be responsible for building their knowledge and adherence of the regulations by providing training and guidance.

Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Become the expert on the corporate Information Security and Privacy (ISP) regulations as well as legal requirements

Compilation and maintenance of ISP concept for each department working closely with the relevant department Managers

Review authorisations and access to corporate systems based on their Access & Identity Management system (AIM) principles and concepts

Work with management and associates to implement ISP regulations and monitor compliance levels

Advice and support to each department to ensure minimum risk to data protection issues and IT end devices

Complete risk assessments to apply an appropriate approach to the regulations to mitigate risk

Mitigate risks through the development and delivery of awareness material and trainings

Collect, organize and maintain documentation

Perform audits to ensure compliance

Your profile:

Practical working experience in the areas of information security and personal data, including GPDR

Experience in IT systems and software applications with an understanding of IT networks and basic knowledge of access management

Process driven, analytical approach to task completion

Excellent communication skills you will be able to engage with associates at all levels and where necessary with third parties

Proactive and able to organise and prioritise workload, you can work independently to achieve your goals but are also comfortable working as part of a team, both national and international.

Willing to travel within the UK and occasionally abroad – driving license required
