Senior Programmer / Data Scientist / Clinical Programmer

Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

The role sits within a new exciting team that are developing best in class, best in industry solutions, so give novel or innovative ways of using data from clinical trials, to expedite, and enhance the traditional approaches to data review and analysis, in the drug development process. You will use your knowledge to support the creation and maintenance of different tools and methodology that can provide real improvements to the standard approaches used when assessing clinical trials data. You will work as an expert within a multi-disciplinary project group, to have responsibility for the successful completion of key assignments, to enable the project tasks to be completed within project time frames and assigned budgets.

To be considered for this role, our client is looking for talented profiles who meet the following criteria;

Educated to Degree level in a Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or Mathematics related field. Further or Higher education such as an MA/MSc is desirable
Significant background working in a programming related role in clinical research, working with clinical data
Hands on experience is critical, with programming knowledge in languages including SAS, R, Iron Python, Spark, Scala, Matlab and .Net
Experience using data visualisation software such as Spotfire, and R Visualisation
Experience using RPA (Robotic Process Automation), would be ideal, including familiarity with software such as uiPath, BluePrism, or Automation Anywhere
Outstanding communicator in all media, including written, verbal, and presentation skills. You will also be an expert in communicating highly complex and technical concepts to non-technical people.
Positive, work hard attitude, with an aptitude for continuous personal and professional technical development.
