The company’s main commercial focus is its software suite for the rail industry and it has been winning plenty of awards for its collection of applications.
This developer / software engineer will be responsible for working on the applications in the suite of products. There will be support from the senior software engineer and the head of development who are adept at supporting and guiding this talented team of .NET developers. The team likes to share though, so you will find that the seniors have a real ‘hands on’ approach to all the projects.
Key Skills:
Key for this role is experience of working on of C# .Net and a few years’ experience of working on in-house applications or customer facing products. Like most developers / engineers, you will have an understanding of the full SDLC, and it would be great if you have worked in an Agile environment since the company is really committed to this way of working. Like the rest of the team you will be curious about technological trends and developments, but you will also respond to the need to be cognisant of secure coding practices and their benefits. If you wanted to tick-off your skills on a list, they might include some of the following; - C# .Net, MVC, Web Forms, Web API, Entity Framework and SQL Server.
