Great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with industry experience working for a software vendor, preferably within in the UK Wealth Management/Pensions sector.

The Candidate:

Essential Skills

* Proven experience as a hands-on Project Manager in the IT industry delivering large scale, mission critical projects, ideally from a Software Vendor perspective.

* Proven experience working in a client-supplier environment with client-facing and commercial responsibilities.

* Excellent communication skills

* Strong negotiation skills

* Able to be assertive with clients, whilst maintaining a strong relationship

* Proven experience in administration in areas of documentation and reporting

* Excellent organisational skills

* Able to manage client expectations from the outset

* Strong leadership qualities and able to lead by example

* Able to manage people with various skills sets and years of experience whilst gaining their respect

* Good logical & analytical problem resolution skills.

* Able to work toward tight deadlines and in pressure situations whilst maintaining a clear thought process

Desirable

* Relevant knowledge and experience of Life, Pensions and Investments

* Project management qualification (APM, Prince2, PMI)

The Role:

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for:

* Delivering projects within agreed budget and time constraints, whilst maintaining control of the scope and impact of changes through a formal sign-off process.

* Ensure the quality of the implementation, the satisfaction of the client and the wellbeing of team members.

* Manage staff and assign work according to project needs.
