Our client is a fast-growing, well-funded technology company who are specialists in providing a suite of SaaS based loyalty and customer engagement tools for Shopping Centres, Retail and the Hospitality sectors. They are a team of 45 based in Farringdon, London and Eastern Europe. They are looking for an exceptional and dynamic leader for their technical team, joining the senior management of the company to provide vision and leadership for developing and delivering technology.

Ideally, they are looking for someone who will weigh in on the strategy of the company, leveraging experience in a SaaS environment and being a passionate and innovative technical evangelist, to help drive the company through its next stages of growth.

Responsibilities…

* Focusing on selling core SaaS based loyalty platform to enterprise customers, continually developing and improving on the core suite of integrated products.

* Manage a current team of 15 people, with a local team of 11, including an operations manager and development lead, and 4 more based in the offshore support and development site.

* The technology stack is focused on PHP 7 codebase through the Symfony framework, with relational and column less databases alongside Native Android applications.

* Own and drive the technological direction, managing goals, budgets and resources

* Develop the technical suppliers, partnerships and integrations strategy

* Push the innovation agenda to keep the engagement platform ahead of all competition

* Taking a monolithic PHP application, breaking it into micro-services, and tailoring the programming language to each service

* Scaling up API’s and data processing capabilities to focus on enterprise clients

* Designing a framework for Android devices which enables them to be remotely built, managed and updated

Required experience…

* Working in a dynamic and growing enterprise SaaS business

* Working within and managing a cross functional technical team in an Agile environment

* Managing and mentoring technical managers and developers

* Internal C-Level interactions to drive the strategy and success of the business

* Senior level external client communications (pre- and post-sale, support and sales)

* Deep experience of working with highly technical applications and complex solution design

* Vendor and 3rd party supplier selection and management

* Strong experience within SaaS, data analysis and retail environments will all be considered an advantage

The ideal candidate…

* Willingness to engage on strategy across the business as well as in your core area

* Strong technical background

* Strong experience with product management and product-based development

* Able to design and describe RESTful APIs

* Commercial thinking and solution selling skills

* Able to aid in architecture and design of complex applications

* Working knowledge of loyalty technologies and interest in consumer facing retail innovation

In return, they are offering up to £120k plus an annual bonus based on company performance and share options.
