We are looking for a Sensor Technologies Engineer, on behalf of our client. You will need to be a capable engineer who can manage a portfolio of sensor technologies, troubleshoot sensor related issues and support the manufacturing operation in the production of products that incorporate sensor technology. Responsibilities include:* Internal development and maintenance of key sensor technologies used in cell culture, upstream and downstream multi-parallel systems* Management of technical relationship with sensors vendors (for 3rd party sensors), including auditing and development of Quality Agreements* Responsibility for sensor applications in existing products - including incoming and outgoing quality and sensor calibration* Involvement in new product development with respect to application of sensor technology in new developments* Troubleshooting of sensor manufacturing, qualification, validation and calibration issues* Troubleshooting customer issues relating to sensor applications in existing products* General applications / sensor related support to Services and Commercial groupsSome travel will be required. Requirements:PhD/ EngD, MSc, or Degree level qualification plus equivalent experience in relevant field of study, e.g. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical EngineeringTechnical engineering and/or science background with experience of sensor development, integration, and maintenance within automation.Product engineeringTest planning and data analysisExperience:Development and/or integration of sensing technologies in products for a biochemical or cell culture environment, including:* pH sensors, Dissolved O2 and CO2 sensors, gas sensors, metabolite sensors* Fluorescence sensor development and/or application* Laboratory analytical equipment design and development* Cell culture techniques and bioreactor operation* Microfluidics* Electronics* Fibre optics* Automation product development lifecycle* Commercial manufacture of technical equipment* Design and development of single use consumables* Supplier management and auditingDesirable skills:Supplier managementManufacturing experienceBiological laboratory practicesAssessment of Technology Readiness LevelIf this sounds like you, please get in touch
