This international membership organisation promotes and advances civil engineering around the world. This organisation is a qualifying body, a centre for the exchange of specialist knowledge, and a provider of resources to encourage innovation and excellence in the profession worldwide.

The Role (part time - 18 hours per week)

Would you like to be part of an organisation that helps shape the world? Their civil engineers create the infrastructure they use every day (water systems, buildings, transport networks etc). You could spend your day working to help them in this and inspiring the next generation to become civil engineers. The Regional Coordinator is central to the successful delivery of their activities in the region through effective daily administration and support for both volunteer members and the Regional Support Team.

Main duties will involve:

- Event and meeting administration
- Handling of enquiries as the first point of contact for the region
- Provision of management and coordination support for the Regional Support Team
- Administrative support to regional membership activity including schools engagement
- Provision of financial administrative support for the region
- Membership database management
- Other administrative duties will be involved as standard

What are we looking for?

Applicants must have experience of a similar position with excellent customer service and support skills. You must have good IT skills with knowledge of MS Office applications and databases. The successful candidate will also have good written and excellent oral communication skills, a good team ethic is also essential. Candidates should note that they will be expected to travel across the East of England to support events often out of normal office hours. They may also be asked to attend occasional meetings in Birmingham and London.
