Legal Secretary Role Description

We are looking for a highly motivated, committed, organised and experienced Legal Secretary to join our office in Nottingham and provide secretarial and administrative support to our legal advisers. The role is to provide secretarial and administrative support for Partners and other Legal Advisers in the team, with a split of approximately 30% typing and 70% administration. The Legal Secretary role is crucial to the smooth running of the team and to maintaining the quality and excellence of our award-winning client services.

The ideal Legal Secretary should be a team player with strong interpersonal and client communication skills, able to cope with change and work under pressure. . The role will involve some client contact and additional support may be required on project completions. The nature of the work is such that there may be a need to work off site occasionally, so flexibility and a willingness to travel out of the office is highly desirable. Ideally you will also have previous experience gained within a legal environment or other professional organisations. A minimum standard of 65 wpm typing speed for copy and audio is expected along with comprehensive experience with Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

You will be able to use your initiative and anticipate what is needed by taking appropriate action as required whilst also demonstrating confidence in your own ability. As a highly-motivated individual you will produce accurate work, be able to work under pressure and have a positive approach and contribution to this team.
