Public Affairs Manager-One Year Maternity Cover (part time) (flexible working)
Salary: £35k-£40k pro rata
Location: North Nottinghamshire

We are currently recruiting a Public Affairs Manager for a well-established company within the Nottinghamshire area. This position is to cover for one-years maternity but with permanent opportunities available after the contract is completed.

The role of Public Affairs Manager will involve managing the policies team, delivering campaign objectives and raising the company’s profile. As well as:

* Maintaining public affairs presence
* Attending meetings with key stakeholders
* Drafting editorial content
* Managing a full-time researcher and the blog content
* Ensuring content on the company website/ Magazine articles and press releases are kept up to date
* Arranging, coordinating and hosting monthly policy meetings
* Compiling monthly reports to be presented to the heads of department and directors in the monthly strategy meeting

The ideal candidate for the Public Affairs Manage, PR role, will have the following experience:

* A background within public affairs management
* Ability to manage all communication for the company, including blogs, magazines and web content
* Able to maintain professional internal and external relationships including Directors, Civil Servants and MPs
* Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure
* Full UK driving licence
