We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Maintenance Engineer to join a first class M&E contractor firm in the heart of Essex. This role offers a great work-life balance with huge potential to enhance your career within the industry.

Key Duties:

• Motivate and inspire the team to reach its goals.
• Mentor and develop a team of project managers.
• Undertake all daily project management tasks i.e. attendance at meetings, dealing with our supply
chain and subcontractors and services/trade liaison.
• Managing cost control of projects, seeking to improve upon budget.
• Continually review delivery performance and demonstrate financial and operational improvements,
culminating in an End of Project Review upon completion.
• Promote a good working culture on site.
• Ensure the programme is set up and reviewed throughout the project.
• Conduct regular reviews of drawings on site.
• Attend design team meetings for Group design & build projects.
• Organise commissioning and final handover.
• Forecast labour and reporting.
• Take full responsibility for all plant and materials hired by the company.
• Select technically competent sub-contractors, ensuring they comply with relevant legislation.
• Manage relationships with mechanical sub-contractors.
• Complete project RAMS & associated CDM-related H&S documents.

Ideal Candidate:

• 5-10 years of mechanical building services project management experience.
• Not afraid to challenge ‘how it’s always been done’.
• Driven to grow - this role has scope to become the Head of Installation.
• Takes a genuine interest in developing peoples’ careers.
• Has a strong ability to delegate - will be juggling running projects as well as overseeing people.
• Managed people before.
• Overview understanding of contract law.
• Understands controls and design principles.
• Able to make design decisions.

For you:

Hours - Mon-Fri 8-5pm (4.30 finish on Fridays)
Salary - £55-60k dependant upon experience
