Project Manager / Scrum Master with experience of working in a scrum team and ideally a certified Scrum Master is needed by our client a leading digital publisher to be based in their Maidenhead offices. About the Scrum Master role: Work with product and business owners and project teams to ensure that new products or services are delivered to the appropriate levels of quality within the agreed sprint cycles Ensure that the appropriate Agile metrics and artefacts are produced and communicated to enable the team and product owner to make informed decisions Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, ensuring the right information is recorded, reported and distributed in the correct format, to the right people and in good time. PERSONAL SPECIFICATION Experience: Ideally Certified Scrum Master accreditation via a recognised industry source with demonstrable industry experience of working in a Scrum Team Have a passion for software development and a good understanding of iterative and incremental software development. Understand the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team Proven track record in the continued optimisation of the project release schedule to support the frequent delivery of high quality releases Any experience with Data projects or LAMP technologies would be beneficial as would exposure to Atlassian tools Skills/knowledge: Understand the value of agile artefacts and metrics (backlog tracking, burn-down metrics, velocity, and task definition) First class facilitation and motivational skills to enable the team to effectively plan each sprint and achieve constructive retrospectives that lead to improved team performance Demonstrate empathy, common sense and pragmatism. Relate to both business and technology people Competencies Takes ownership and responsibility; Works well within a team Good written and verbal skills, able to translate concepts into easily understood diagrams and visuals for both technical and non-technical people alike; must have presentation skills Eye for detail and quality, able to demonstrate empathy, common sense and pragmatism. Be innovative Flexible. Self-starter. Must be able to manage own time successfully.
