A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Customer Logistics Planner to make that next career step within global Electro/Mechanical Manufacturing Giant.

The role will see you take accountability and responsibility for the customer order, from receipt through procurement to billing. You will also provide a superior service, communicating with internal and external customers, and keeping information up to date.


* Build and maintain a good working knowledge of the Customer Logistics Planning process, which includes: sales order management, procurement planning, logistical tasks and stock management practices

* Being flexible and multi-skilled across the entire supply chain process from customer order, from receipt through procurement to billing

* Being proactive, and taking individual ownership to ensure resolution of, and complete follow up on customer issues

* Managing orders and enquires utilising Track and Release

* Processing of sales orders in SAP, ensuring customer data is accurate and up to date with focus on the customer requested date

* Processing of MRP (materials requirement planning) with focus to procure materials on time, and when the customer requires them

* Creation of purchase orders

* Follow up on order confirmations from the plants ensuring on time delivery of components to meet customer requirements

* Running SAP transactions to ensure accurate and timely confirmation of customer orders

* Producing open order statements (or other information) for agreed customers as required

* Raising of invoices and ensuring billing documentation is accurate and meets company and customer requirements

* Maintenance of SAP Master Data to ensure accuracy of customer communication

* Managing the complete return process for customers and the plants ensuring costs are allocated appropriately and accurately

* Resolving all invoices queries for customers and supplying plants, allowing invoices to be cleared efficiently for payment according to the agreed rules

* Developing and maintaining relationships, ensuring the services provided meet company requirements (e.g. quality, delivery, cost, limitations, business risks)


* Previous logistics, procurement and/or internal sales experience

* 2 A' Levels and/or business administration qualification and/or relevant experience

* Conversant in Microsoft Office products

* SAP R3 or similar integrated system

* Business Warehouse or similar
