Recruitment and People Experience Consultant

Due to continued growth, a unique and exciting position has been created within our clients People Experience team at their Head Office in Edinburgh. The role requires an exceptional individual with existing recruitment experience and a desire to branch out into other aspects of HR and Talent Management to fill it. In turn, they will provide you with the opportunity to work across the whole business in a varied and diverse role where your contribution will have a direct impact on the ongoing growth and success of their business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, insightful, engaged and determined recruiter that is looking to develop and build their career and gain significant experience in other more generalist HR and People Experience activities.

The key skills required for the Recruitment and People Experience Consultant are:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced recruitment environment (ideally in-house, but not essential), within the Data and Analytics sector
  • Experience of direct sourcing of candidates via LinkedIn, job boards, networking events and passive prospects
  • A good working knowledge of the LinkedIn recruiter tool
  • A strong and clear communicator with persistence and an ability to build, develop and maintain professional relationships
  • A knack for using emotion and logic to connect with people
  • An ability to adapt to ever changing business environments and manage workload and priorities accordingly and know when to escalate
  • Proven negotiating and influencing skills with an innovative approach to seeking out solutions
  • Driven and determined to achieve targets and objectives
  • Fully proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Occasional travel within the UK, if required

The role as the Recruitment and People Experience Consultant includes:

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of the end to end recruitment process, ensuring an excellent candidate experience at every stage
  • Maintain fluid communication channels with business and agency stakeholders, ensuring all recruitment requirements are fully up to date, at all times
  • Compose, upload and update all job adverts
  • Identify and attend industry relevant fairs, meetups and corporate networking events
  • Utilise the LinkedIn Recruiter tool to its full capability
  • Develop and manage the external recruitment agency relationships
  • Pro-actively source talent through direct, internal referral and agency channels
  • Review and select appropriate candidates for interview and manage their journey through the recruitment lifecycle within the given timelines
  • Comply with all relevant employment and data protection legislation
  • Organise and coordinate all interviews, ensuring the correct information and paperwork has been provided and returned
  • Conduct all video or face to face initial screening interviews on behalf of the business
  • Manage and administer the online technical testing function
  • Collate and provide regular MI to the relevant business stakeholders and ensure there is accurate reporting and tracking of conversion rates
  • Ensure there is a constant pipeline of candidates and that regular communication is being made
  • Organisation and management of all business profiles for new starters
  • Assist with the organisation and delivery of induction, on-boarding and integration for all new starters
  • Negotiate candidate offers and prepare and manage through all relevant contractual documentation
  • Support and contribute in the implementation and delivery of Business Change projects within the People Experience function
  • Support the Associate Director of People Experience with generalist HR requirements
  • Help create, consult on and implement HR solutions, responding flexibly and quickly to business needs focusing on pace, innovation and value add
  • Be involved in project work to contribute to the development of new approaches, frameworks, policies, procedures and guidance to implement key elements of the business strategy.
  • Identify and implement initiatives to contribute to employee engagement
  • Other ad hoc duties that may be required
