This company, the UK's largest provider of professional development for teachers, is looking for a talented, enthusiastic Project Officer / Administrator to help them deliver a range of educational projects to achieve outstanding impact for learners.

They have a number of current projects you will be able to support on, plus further in the pipeline. These projects focus on teacher development on Further Education - either through provision of training courses, collaborative research projects or teacher networking.

You will support the team's Project Manager in a number of ways - communicating with teachers, managing suppliers, ensuring work is delivered on time and to the highest standards, ensuring all relevant data are collected, managing budgets, and reporting for clients / the management team.

A particular focus will be to support their project managing collaborative research projects for further education providers. This will involve arranging meetings, working with the educational consultants, managing the grant funding process, ensuring they have all required documentation to meet project requirements, and ensuring regular reporting from the research teams.

They are a small, family business and you'll find little of the hierarchy and baggage that comes with working for a larger corporate. Without all of the red tape it's a great opportunity to gain significant experience and be right in the thick of it.

Successful candidates will need:
- Highly effective planning and organising skills
- Decisive judgement, and be a good problem solver
- Strong analytical capability, working well with figures
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong IT skills
- The desire and ability to develop your professional skills and knowledge

The role is based at their head office in Croydon - just 10 minutes' walk from Sanderstead, Purley Oaks and South Croydon station and just a few minutes' walk from South Croydon bus Garage. They are accessible from Victoria, London Bridge and Three Bridges in 30 minutes.
