Job Description

Job Title: Transport & Estates Officer

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week

Location: Warwick

Salary: £22,317

Our client is a hugely reputable and prestigious education provider in Warwick, who due to stable growth are looking to recruit a Transport & Estates Officer into their large and friendly team of Estate & Operations professionals. You will be highly organised with the ability to work well under pressure, and you must possess high attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.

Main responsibilities:

  • To assist the Head and Deputy Head of Estates and Operations with the delivery of an effective and efficient School Bus Service (SBS)
  • Working closely with coach companies, parents, pupils, academic and pastoral support to ensure a smooth transport service is provided
  • Ensure all pupil 'registers' are up to date and correct and with the drivers for all departures
  • Be the first point of contact for coach companies, in relation to any and all operational issues such as roadworks or accidents
  • Assist with the delivery of all customer-facing elements to the service, such as the web-portal, text messaging, website queries etc.
  • Be responsible for checking all billing and invoices before sending to Finance to process
  • Assist in the marketing of the SBS to prospective and current parents
  • Monitor transport providers' KPI's and T&C's, ensuring they are always compliant
  • Respond to all parental queries regarding the service
  • Coordinate all school bus passes, including single trips or bespoke arrangements
  • Gain quotations for coach bookings working towards a centralisation of this area from separate schools
  • Coordinate driving licence checks / MiDAS and DI training, ensuring database is up to date of any upcoming events
  • Coordinate all compliance checks for the schools own fleet

Key Skills & Experience

  • Must be educated to 'A' Level or above (with a GCSE Grace C in Maths and English)
  • Experience with managing team members and coordinating service providers
  • Must be capable of working in a busy and fast paced environment
  • Computer literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • A good geographical knowledge of Warwickshire would be a distinct advantage
  • Must possess excellent communication and organisational skills
