This company are a worldwide leader in providing information access and management solutions through print and electronic journal subscription services, online access research database development and production. In serving the library and business communities for more than 70 years they not only provide solutions for information management issues, but also a total cost benefit through the handling of information and procurement needs through one service provider.

They are currently recruiting a Customer Services Assistants to support their Customer Services team.

The successful candidate will take pride in their work, be able to pick up new systems and processes quickly and work in an efficient and effective way whilst under pressure.

The Post

Key Responsibilities:

- Promptly process all high-volume back office routine activity, administration and ad-hoc tasks to support the Customer Service Team
- Process all orders, claims, quotes and cancellation paperwork
- Assisting Customer Account Managers to resolve customer queries or issues through liaising with publishers
- Assist with administration of ad-hoc projects
- Provide additional phone support during busy periods
- Regularly update line manager and colleagues on progress of work and any problems preventing or delaying completion, and recommend solutions
- Strive for 100% achievement of performance against Service Level Agreements
- Strive for 100% adherence to best practice
- Add value to customer, company, department and team
- Have thorough understanding of systems and workflows, products and services

The Candidate

Essential experience and requirements:

- Demonstrable experience of working in a similar role
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Excellent data entry and processing skills and good experience
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy of work
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong work ethic with a desire to achieve and maintain high standards
- Pro-active approach and a 'can do' attitude
- Able to grasp in-house systems quickly
- Ability to multi task and resolve problems
