Specialist Post Working in CSE & Gang Violence

A London based Local Authority has created a new position focused on CSE and Gang Violence, thus they are looking for an experienced Practitioner to lead on this.


  • Lead on CSE & Gang related cases
  • Report directly to the AD of Safeguarding and advise on CSE & Gang cases
  • Newly formed, specialist position
  • Work with service user between the age of 8-18
  • Help develop strategies and practice to tackle these issues
  • There is a Practice Development aspect to this position

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a specialist position, which has been created by the authority to work with very specific service users. The post will see you tackle a small caseload but will also focus on practice development where you will be the link between front line staff and senior management, advising on all areas relating to CSE and gang violence.

There is a drive by the local authority with the aim of implementing strategies and processes to help Social Workers tackle and prevent these sorts of issues. The role will be quite diverse and you will be able to have an impact on the authorities safeguarding service as you will be reporting in to the Assistant Director and providing recommendations to prevent the proliferation of CSE and Gang Violence in the region.

As this is a newly formed post the authority are keen to receive applications from candidates who have extensive experience of working within CSE teams or those that have substantial safeguarding experience.
