Job Description

Sales Support Executive

You role will be to support the Director of Sales and Sales Manager with the coordination of all sales activities to deliver and maximise revenues. Focus on gaining new leads and appointments for Sales team to grow cluster financial performance. Ensure agreed company sales systems and standards are followed and all agreed procedures are in place

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out cold calls as per targets to research new and existing corporate companies
  • Source new sales leads (ie Monthly production figures, FO referrals, arrivals list etc) and report on existing top producers and dropped producers for the relevant account managers to follow up on
  • Make appointments for the Director of Sales / Sales Manager on a weekly basis as per targets & produce weekly activity reports
  • Deal with any initial sales enquiries and brochure requests and to pass on to the relevant member of the Sales team at the appropriate time
  • Complete all general administrative duties for the sales department including all client contracts (including RFP's), files and records for the sales department and ensure they are communicated throughout the hotel
  • Assist in the co-ordination of orders for brochures, sales literature and client gifts
  • Conduct show rounds, assist with organising and attend client evenings at the hotel and
  • Attend daily and weekly internal meetings as required to report on cluster sales activities.
  • To carry out spy-visits of cluster competitor hotels

Desired Qualifications/ Skills/Experience & Behavioural factors:

  • Must have own transport as travel will be required between 2 hotels. (mileage expenses paid)
  • Ideally be a graduate in Hospitality or Business studies, have a fundamental knowledge of sales

practices and want to develop a career in sales within the hospitality industry

  • Operational experience in hotels is desirable with preference in Sales, Reception or Reservations
  • Must be IT Literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ideally experience of Opera

PMS, and database management ( they use Events 500, Serenata Sales)

  • Self-motivated and determined to achieve sales targets and goals
  • Have excellent organisational and administration skills with an eye for detail and be able to multitask

and carry out core routine duties

  • Well presented with an outgoing personality, professional manner with excellent communication skills

and good command of verbal and written English
