The Role

We are working with an Energy Broker firm based in London who are looking for Business Development Executives to join their growing team. This is an exciting role for an ambitious and enthusiastic candidate who is looking to join the growing energy services market.
The Business Development Executive will be part of a team with the responsibility to successfully identify, qualify and develop opportunities in the UK. You will develop and execute sales strategies to meet sales objectives, support customer satisfaction, secure repeat business and increase market share for our client while developing strong, long lasting client relationships.

Scope & Responsibilities

Reporting to senior management, the Business Development Executive (a sales role) will be critical and influences the overall success of our client’s offerings within the UK Market. You will work to determine the customer’s needs and translate these needs into opportunities for our client.

The Business Development Executive is responsible for successfully developing new business opportunities with medium to large organisations. These business opportunities are typically financially-based, bundled business solutions which are sold at the senior levels within customer prospects. The BDE will be responsible for planning, strategizing, developing and closing solution opportunities with new and existing accounts. The main goal is to achieve short and long term business and financial objectives, and to increase sales and market share while maintaining the margin expectations of the region.

The Business Development Executive will:

• Proactively initiate Identify, validate and drive new opportunities
• Develop and grow pipeline
• Build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.
• Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
• Protects organization`s value by keeping information confidential.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Support and deliver annual revenue & signings target while accurately forecasting revenue & effectively managing a sales funnel and overall results
• Lead/own the service sales deals for selected opportunities through full lifecycle
• Be accountable for total customer satisfaction, market share, and revenue within the assigned client base.

Attributes/skills required:

• Have a strong desire and aptitude to make a significant contribution to a rapidly growing organization
• Demonstrated experience in business solution selling
• Excellent observation & communication skills for identifying and understanding the problems and opportunities with the client
• Ability to discuss strategic and sensitive issues
• A solid track record of achieving/exceeding sales targets to thrive in competitive and dynamic environment.
• Background in energy would be a strong plus
• Ability to facilitate and orchestrate resources cross functionally to support sales efforts.
