Who are we looking for?
Cambridge Education Group is looking to recruit a Finance Manager to join a busy team working on establishing best practice and ensuring projects are completed.
The Finance Manager will join a high growth, private equity-backed global education provider based in Cambridge city centre.
A varied, hands-on role supporting the Group Financial Controller, responsible for the day to day management of the AP, AR, Credit Control, and Treasury functions of the groups UK and overseas operations, the Finance Manager is a key member of the senior finance leadership team.
Managing a team of 9, you will be responsible for supporting and inspiring the transactional finance team, prioritising workload and taking the lead on issue resolution and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
*
Manage two accounts payable administrators
*
Ensure all invoices are processed and approved in a timely manner
*
All payments are made in line with CEG's agreed terms
*
Administration of CEG's Purchase Order approval system ( WAP )
*
Monitor and maintain sufficiently robust internal controls
Accounts Receivable and Credit Control
*
Manage 7 FTE's responsible for AR, Credit Control and Customer Service
*
Ensure all payments received are allocated correctly
*
Maintain a debtors list of students that are in arrears
*
Monitor and minimise CEG's bad debt risk
*
Ensure student refunds are processed correctly and in a timely manner
*
Ensure CEG's student management systems ( Tribal / Zoho) financial data is correct
Treasury
*
Minimise banking transaction costs
*
Ensure CEG maintains sufficient foreign currency reserves while minimizing any FX risk
*
Ensure all cash receipts are allocated correctly
What we are looking for?
*
Experience of managing a large team
*
Experience of AP, AR and Credit Control
*
International payments processing
*
Ability to build strong working relationships at all levels of the business
*
Excellent IT skills, knowledge of ERP systems
*
WAP, SAGE, ZOHO and Tribal experience an advantage
*
Advanced Excel skills
