JOB TITLE: Legal Assistant
HOURS: 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday
SALARY: Up to £24,000 (negotiable dependent on experience)
BENEFITS: 25 days holiday with the option to buy/sell holiday, a weekly lifestyle hour for you to use as you choose, 'family hours' to allow work flexibility around family commitments, pension scheme, some flexible working opportunities.

This firm cover a range of practice areas including Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, Employment, Commercial and Conveyancing. financial, This role sits within the Mental Capacity team who support clients and their loved ones with financial, health and welfare related issues.
The purpose of this role is to provide a high quality admin support service for the mental capacity team and fee earners.
Diary management including organising travel and meetings
Direct secretarial support for the team
Assist fee earners with managing monthly billing procedures, cash collection and credit control processes
File management to ensure compliance with firm practices and procedures
Producing and amending letters/documents
Opening, closing and maintaining files including production of terms of business letters, confirmation of instruction letters, ID checks and the entering of entities and capacities on each new client/matter file
Preparing files for court, gathering all relevant documentation and typing up of clear and concise case notes
Filing and photocopying
Filing and collation of medical records
Dealing with routine client telephone enquiries and managing and taking calls on behalf of the solicitorsWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Previous legal secretary / legal assistant experience
Initiative and the ability to work proactively
Ability to interact and communicate with a range of people confidently and professionally
Great attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to manage and have autonomy for own workload and prioritise tasks accordingly
Strong IT skills
Great telephone manner and written communication skills
