Job Title: Autism Teaching Assistant
Location: Scarborough, North Yorkshire
Salary: £70 to £85 per day
Start Date: June 2022

GSL Education are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism in Scarborough for immediate start.
As an Autism Teaching Assistant, your job role will include:

Working as part of a classroom and wider-School team to support students aged 2-16 years old with autism.
Working closely with School staff to provide a stimulating and safe learning environment.
Assisting teachers with organising and preparing classroom resources and activities.
Understanding and implementing School policies, such as a Positive Reward Behaviour policy.
Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions, such as Phonics, Numeracy and Literacy.As an Autism Teaching Assistant, it is vital to understand autism and the behaviours it can present. You should have a natural enthusiasm and positive outlook to engage and support young people. Having a good sense of humour and being resilient will prove vital to becoming a successful member of the team.
A child only DBS on the Update Service is a MUST. If you don't have a DBS, you can process one through GSL Education.
