Catholic Primary School Teacher

Location: Newport, Gwent

Full-Time Role (Monday to Friday)

September 2022 - July 2023

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a primary school teacher to join a very warm and welcoming primary school within the Newport area. They are very proud of the school and its community, and they firmly believe that they are a team, a school family, and all pupils, parents, governors, the parish, and the wider community are a very important part of the whole team.

The school strives to provide a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for learning and teaching. The mission is based around inspiring each other to empower and achieve with Christ in the centre of everything.

The headteacher wants all children to be happy and well-motivated with a passion for learning and a desire to achieve to their potential. They recognise parents as the first educators of their children and try to find ways to involve parents fully in all aspects of the life and work of the school.

The Headteacher and Governing Body are looking for an exceptional, innovative, vibrant practitioner who is committed to children's learning, wellbeing, and the raising of standards. We are a creative and forward-thinking school with a highly committed, dedicated, and hardworking team.

Applicants do not need to be a practising Roman Catholic but will need to be sympathetic to the aims of the faith and fully support the ethos of the school.

This post is open to Newly Qualified Teachers and Fully Qualified Teachers.

The successful educator will:

Be supportive of the school's Catholic ethos
Will be a practicing catholic or willing to uphold the Catholic ethos of the school
Be passionate about learning and teaching and willing to develop your own learning if needed
Be enthusiastic, motivated, caring, and able to nurture children to achieve their potential
Able to demonstrate excellent classroom practice through creative and challenging teaching
Motivated and have high expectations for pupil progress
Contribute to the school's curriculum design based on the curriculum of Wales
Committed to sustaining the strong Catholic identity of the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
