Accounts and Office Manager sought by a well-established £3m HVAC Install and Service business with 10 employees.

You will play a key role in managing the accounts and administrative operations within the business.

We seek a highly capable person who is trustworthy, reliable and who can integrate quickly into the business. With a good character and stable career to date, you are the kind of person who enjoys a varied role of responsibility in a friendly company which does not have a corporate rigid structure, but which is nonetheless very successful and well organised.

In addition to running the Accounts and Office Management, you will act as the Directors' right-hand person, being able to discuss thoughts, plans, issues in an honest, informed, and open manner - so taking an interest in all aspects of the business is essential.

You will be capable of running the business finances, with the Company's external accountants who prepare the yearend accounts and are at hand for ad-hoc advice as and when required.

Key duties of the Accounts and Office Manager include:

Monthly S/L Invoicing for Install, Service, Reactive & Retentions, Remittances and Credit Control. P/L invoices day book, Job Sheets recording and Accounts entry, Reconciliation and BACS Payments. Bank entries and reconciliation including Credit card & Expenses. Accruals, Pre-payments, Fixed Assets, Nominal Journals and Month end TB, P&L and B/S.

Monthly Payroll including processing Timesheets. Yearend & P11d's. HR & Workplace Pensions

Insurance, Fleet Management, Health & Safety - Workwear/PPE, Avetta & Constructionline Compliance.

Knowledge of the HVAC industry would be advantageous together with Sub-contractors/HMRC CIS returns & Domestic Reverse Charge VAT. Prepare, reconcile, and process Quarterly VAT Returns.

Well organised with commercial acumen and attention to detail, you should have a high level of competence in Excel - experience in Sage 50cloud Accounts Professional and Sage 50cloud Payroll is beneficial. Approachable and interested in all aspects of day to day business activities, you are a flexible and versatile person who can relate and communicate well with business owners and with colleagues in Service, Contracts/Install and with external stakeholders.

Hours are 8.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday - 24 days Holiday plus Bank Holidays
