Team Real Estate Manchester
Reports to Chief Operating Officer

Purpose of job
To ensure there is complete transparency of the timelines and quality of work produced by employees that are at the junior associate level and below in the Manchester office.
To deliver technical support to the Junior members of staff, including Junior associates, trainees, paralegals and apprentices.
To supervise work produced and client service delivered by junior members of staff.

Key responsibilities

To provide support on a wide variety of work including but not limited to asset management and post completion matters for a broad spectrum of our client groups.
Monitor the quality of client service ensuring that any areas for improvement in systems, processes and people are identified and actioned appropriately. Specific responsibilities include:
• Responsible for quality control of the client service product delivered by junior employees in the Manchester office.
• Ensuring a consistent approach to the review of the junior employees work by putting in place relevant systems and checks to capture advice given, solutions found and to avoid any duplication.
• Identifying risks and carry out problem solving to find alternative and appropriate solutions
• Identifying both common and individual training needs and working with the KDLs to design appropriate training.
• Ensuring that service delivery is always consistent with client-specific systems and requirements
• Working closely with BCLP KDLs to ensure that all legal processes are compliant, fit for purpose and in accordance with current best practice.

Experience and knowledge
• Strong technical expertise - essential
• Proven track record of working on commercial real estate including Landlord and Tenant, Acquisition, Disposals and Development - essential
• Transaction management - desirable
• 7+ years PQE
