This is a fantastic opportunity to grow and develop your career in finance as an assistant accountant. You will have the chance to work for an established private security business that has a strong presence in the UK. This role would be perfect for someone who has up to a years' experience and is looking for their next step in finance.
This will be an office-based role which can eventually move to working one day a week at home. Your primary responsibility will be to provide accounting support to the business, ensuring all costs are allocated and payments made correctly and in a timely manner.
Roles and responsibilities
Entering purchase invoices and setting up supplier payment runs for sign off
Supplier statement reconciliations
Cost reporting
Admin of the accounts department email inbox
Admin of internal expenses system
Credit control including customer statements and reconciling customer accounts
Invoicing of keyholding and alarm activations
Invoicing Technical Services projects and maintenance
Assist in implementation of a purchase order process
Assist with other duties when needed
Support with office admin including telephone support
Skills required
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, summits, pivot tables etc)
Methodical and organised with the ability to prioritise workload efficiently
Ability to present information clearly and concisely
Naturally curious with an analytical mindset
Attention to detail
Adaptable and a team player
Numerate
Previous experience in a similar role
Experience with using Sage50
Confident and highly professional
Thorough, creative and innovative
Dependable and will always do the right thing
A passion for doing more than expected
