SENDhelp and our partner school are seeking to recruit an outstanding Tutor for all ages to work with teachers and students in school to supporting behaviour pupils.

The successful applicant must be able to teach with skill and confidence to well-motivated and behaviour students, and be able to inspire, challenge and support our pupils.

Our new Tutor will have a genuine enthusiasm for the subject and the ambition to play a full role in the continued progress of the school in all Departments.

The school

Our partner school is based in Bracknell offering personalised teaching and learning programmes which allow students to achieve academically and socially.

The school OFSTED rated 'Good' school which caters for pupils who are persistently unable to attend their mainstream school placement due to factors such as acute anxiety associated with school attendance or other mental health needs.

The school has 56 full time places for young people in Key Stages 3 and 4 who have had trouble in maintaining a place in mainstream education.

You will be working in a school that is flexible with the school curriculum, and a team that proactively works with other schools, parents, and carers with an aim to get young people back on track.

The Requirements

Creating lesson plans for the students
Assessing students on their existing ability
Creating a schedule for further education and development in subject areas
Assessing a student's level of progress within a subject and identifying areas for improvement
Reviewing student's homework assignments and test scores and working through problem questions that the student did not answer correctly
Providing support for students during their examinations
Communicating with parents/guardians about trouble areas or any issues that requite attention
Keeping up to date on the current curriculum and latest teaching trends
