Role: Design and Technology Teacher (DT)
Location: Southwark, South London
Salary £26,000-£39,000
Start Date: September 2022
Contract: Permanent

GSL is looking for a confident and enthusiastic DT teacher for a prestigious school located in Southwark, South London. The client school offers excellent opportunities for professional growth for their teachers through their programmes. Thus, this will be a suitable fit for candidates who are looking for professional development as well as teaching DT to brilliant students in a supportive and challenging environment.

Key roles and tasks:

Planning and preparing excellent courses and lesson plans as a Design and Technology Teacher that makes use of diverse and effective teaching methods that challenge students to learn and grow.
Liaise with parents, students, and staff to ensure high attainment.
Monitoring, evaluating, and intervening to ensure all students are working towards making expected progress.
Maintaining an effective system of record keeping, reporting and communication, as well as attending regular staff meetings
Acting as a Form Tutor when necessary.
The successful candidate will possess:

Qualified Teacher Status/ Newly Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or NQTS)
An updated CV with an enhanced DBS
Excellent knowledge and dedication to teach DT
A collaborative mindset and dedication to work as a team to improve the DT department
